Record of financial judgments issued by the District Court of the Wisconsin Territory (1837-1846), the Iowa County Circuit Court (1846-1893), and by other Iowa County courts as recorded by the Circuit Court Clerk (including Justice of the Peace Courts). Record shows: names of parties and their attorneys, action, date of judgment and party against which judgment was rendered, costs and total amount of judgment. Remarks in some cases, record date of settlement of judgment, also cross references to related records such as Orders and Decrees, Execution record, or file box number. Actions include: foreclosure, promissory notes, divorce, appeal, transcript of judgment from Justice of the Peace Court, nuisance, contract.
